What is ICSI?

How is ICSI Performed?

The eggs are collected under mild anesthesia using a fine needle. - Sperm Collection and Selection

A single selected sperm is directly injected into the cytoplasm (center) of each mature egg using a fine glass needle under high magnification. - Embryo Culture and Transfer
Fertilized eggs (embryos) are cultured in the lab for 3–5 days before the best-quality embryo(s) are transferred into the uterus. - Pregnancy Test
About two weeks after the embryo transfer, a blood test confirms pregnancy.
